The SHAW SDT-Ex intrinsically safe dewpoint transmitter is optimally suited for application in manufacturing processes within the petrochemical, hydrogen production and hydrocarbon processing industries.

Reliable and accurate

This instrument demonstrates high reliability and accuracy in the measurement of trace moisture content in dry compressed air and industrial gases. Utilising our proprietary ultra-high capacitance moisture sensing technology, the SDT-Ex achieves a measurement accuracy of ±2 °C (±3.6 °F) dewpoint. The device offers versatility across numerous applications with its wide dewpoint range, spanning from -100 °C to +20 °C.

Intrinsically safe

The SDT-Ex dewpoint transmitter is certified intrinsically safe, complying with ATEX and IECEx standards, thereby ensuring its suitability for deployment in hazardous environments.

Signal integrity

The transmitter provides a linear, isolated 4-20 mA output signal, maintaining signal integrity over distances up to 1,000 metres, which is crucial for safe and effective operation in explosive settings remote from its display unit.

Operational efficiency and consistent performance

The compact design and robust construction of the SDT-Ex enable it to withstand extreme conditions, facilitating continuous and precise measurement of trace moisture, which is essential for maintaining product quality and operational efficiency. The transmitter’s advanced electronics and automatic calibration functionality further ensure consistent performance. Each unit undergoes calibration in a dedicated laboratory, enhancing its reliability with calibration traceable to National and International Humidity Standards (NPL).
